THE TOUR

Now in it’s twenty-second season, the Kandinsky Trio has been heard at such venues as The Kennedy Center, the Interlochen Festival, and the Center for the Arts at Penn State. They have toured internationally in Banff, Bratislava, Budapest, Vienna, Zagreb, and Covington, GA. Their recordings are aired regularly on Boston’s WGBH, New York’s WNYC, and Chicago’s WFMT. Their live performances have been featured on the MacNeil/Lehrer News Hour, and they have appeared numerous times on NPR’s Performance Today.

Their 2003 recording, In Foreign Lands, was named as “One of the Best” on WNED, (Toronto/Buffalo). London’s Music and Vision dubbed it, “…one of the year’s best chamber music recordings.”

For twenty-two years they have been Artists in Residence at Roanoke College in Virginia.

Despite all of this, they occasionally perform with Andy Offutt Irwin, who tells stories, and whistles really well.
